Ban Ki-Moon Keynotes SCIGC Opening Ceremony

At today's Opening Ceremony of the Stanford Center at the Incheon Global Campus (SCIGC), His Excellency Ban Ki-Moon, Eighth Secretary General of the United Nations, provided keynote remarks emphasizing the role of smart and sustainable cities in meeting the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.  View Ban Ki-Moon's virtual remarks here.  Ban Ki-Moon was joined by Stanford President Marc Tessier-Lavigne and Stanford Dean of Engineering Jennifer Widom who also provided virtual remarks to open SCIGC's new research space in the smart city of Songdo, South Korea.
