‘Sustainable Finance in Asia: Next Steps for Climate Innovation’ Report has been Published

The Stanford Sustainable Finance Initiative (SFI) and the Stanford Center at the Incheon Global Campus (SCIGC) organized the inaugural Asia Sustainable Finance Forum in Seoul, Korea, in March. The Forum was co-hosted with our collaborators in Korea, the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), with sponsorship from the Financial Services Commission (FSC) and the Korea Development Bank Group (KDB). The Forum sought to convene experts and practitioners in technology, finance, and policy innovation working toward the net-zero transition in Asia.

This was then followed by the Stanford-Asia Sustainability Forum Research Roundtable. This invitation-only discussion focused on ascertaining the challenges of the net-zero transition. It provided a platform for creating collaborations amongst global and domestic institutions, including industry practitioners, investment institutions, academic scholars, and policymakers.

We are pleased to announce that SFI and SCIGC have recently published the ‘Sustainable Finance in Asia: Next Steps for Climate Innovation’ Report, a compilation of the proceedings at both the events mentioned above. The Report is available in hard copy and soft copy, the link to which can be found here.

This would not have been possible without your unflinching support and constant engagement. The Report is the beginning of what we hope to be an ingenious and impactful conversation on sustainable finance and development in the Asia Pacific. We look forward to your thoughts on the Report and how we could collaborate to meet sustainability goals.
